Runners Heat Up Trails During Chilly Trot

Penn State Worthington Scranton Athletics held its Annual Turkey Trot Wednesday, November 20, 2013, a 2 mile fun-run/walk where participants vie for prizes in three top categories.  Over 20 runners and walkers donning gloves, hats and scarves gathered on the soccer field in the chilly winter weather to particiapate in this yearly spirited contest. 

John Ciccone and Kim Gaik, varisty cross country team members topped the male and female overall categories.  Jay Patel and Amber Martin came in first for male and female students (non-vasirty athletes) and Joe Walsh and Diana Kloss topped the male/female faculty/staff runners.  Top finsihers in each category recieved Penn State winter gear to continue their running during the chilly months ahead. 

Other notable runners were Drew Evans, Jamie Dodgson, Marissa Rinaldi, Elizabeth Edgar; all from our varisty cross country team, Tom Osborne, student and Gina Gray and Mari Donnelly faculty/staff who all finished the 2 mile run!
