Penn State Scranton Women's Volleyball team earned their first PSUAC win in their opening home match up against Penn State Hazleton.
The Hazleton Lady Lions made noise early on as they followed through on attacks after intense vollies. Penn State Worthington Scranton answered back setting off a back and forth point-for-point on both sides of the net. Scranton edged in the first, 25-23.
Scranton was down 14-7 in the second set when Emily Tavaris (freshman-prenursing) caught fire, scoring eight straight on her serve. Scranton pulled ahead winning 25-18.
