Worthington Scranton Softball senior Kate Calogero has been named this week's PSUAC Student-Athlete of the Week for softball as a hitter and represents the campus Player of the Week as well. Calogero averaged a .522 batting average as she hit 12-of-23 with two doubles and three stolen bases.
The senior batted eight runs in with three runs scored on the week. Calogero came up big in Worthington-Scranton's 13-8 PSUAC win over Schuylkill, as the righty noted 2-of-5 from the plate with four runs batted in and two runs scored herself.
The first baseman contributed 37 putouts in the field with three assists.
Kate currently holds down second place in the PSUAC with an overall batting average of .475.
